Plate 8 – Lights and Reflections of the Temple Square
by admin
Temple Square in Salt Lake City is one of the most colorful places to visit during Christmas season. As it gets dark, they turn on the lights around the Temple, and coupled with various fountains and decorations, it’s hard to visit that place and leave in a bad mood.
I wanted to preserve some color in the sky, so I had to take the shot as soon as they turned on the lights, which happened about 30 minutes after the sunset, while the sky was still blue. It was a tricky endeavor as I only had 50mm lens with me, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed in this situation, as I stood on the podium overlooking the pond in front of the temple.
