Photowalking with Tom Hogarty of Adobe
by admin
I spent all day shooting in San Francisco today and my legs are feeling it. The day started at the Adobe photowalk with Tom Hogarty that was part of Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk, I then went to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Arts, and I finished the day at the North Beach of the city as part of Jim Goldstein photowalk. I’ll blog about each of these three events sequentially, and I’ll start with the first one.

The Adobe photowalk was led by Tom Hogarty, Adobe’s Lightroom and ACR product manager. I had someone from his team contact me earlier and personally invite me to that photowalk, and I’m very happy (and honored) that they did. The photowalk was attended by a number of Lightroom and Photoshop engineers, PR people and others who work for Adobe. I’ve been a fan of their products since Photoshop 4 that I began using as a kid, so meeting these people and hanging out with them was a lot of fun and very cool. I even found out that Tom is my blog reader.
The photowalk was also attended by my buddy Thomas Hawk, who already posted a report from the walk on his blog – check it out.
We spent most of the time shooting architecture and streets around Adobe’s headquarters and I will be posting my favorite images from that walk in the coming days. I’m not as fast as Thomas Hawk, who had 50 processed images posted to Flickr before I even got home, but I will post these soon.
My favorite part about this walk was meeting all the great photographers who work for Adobe, as well as everyone else. When shooting with other photographers, I always learn a great deal from seeing what they shoot, how they see things and what they see as they walk the same streets I walk.
