About 15 of us or so got together last night for a night time DMU photowalk at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. We haven’t done one of these in the Bay Area for a while, so it was good to get together again with some old friends and do some shooting. I’ll be posting the photos [...]

Photography in Santana Row is a Crime

One of the popular spots in San Jose is this complex called Santana Row. It’s an upscale shopping mall and apartment complex located near Campbell. The architecture is beautiful, the restaurants are great, and the rent there is expensive. As it’s a great place to live in for young people, several San Jose Sharks and San Francisco [...]

Hitech vs Lee Filters

While I am still waiting for my Big Stopper 10-stop ND filter to arrive after I ordered it from 2filter*, I was browsing the internet and came across a great review of the filter at Robert Strachan’s blog. He’s lucky to live in the UK, where Lee, the company that makes Lee filters, is based. I imagine [...]

Canvas on Demand – Gallery Wrap Review

When it comes to making canvas prints out of your photos, there are a lot of choices today of who to go through. It seems that most of the larger photos labs offer that option today. However, from my experience, when it comes to creating quality canvas wraps, it’s best to go with the labs [...]

Spring Storm, Silicon Valley

While the summer is almost here in Northern California, the spring has been a beautiful one this year. There were good number of spring storms that passed through, and a few of them were clearing right around the sunset. I took this shot few weeks ago in a park nearby my house. We’ve lived here [...]
