Our Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting really desperate as the government of California continue to drive the state of California into bankruptcy and one of the desperate measures they are proposing in order to cut state expenditures is to close 80% of California state parks. Some of the parks they’re proposing to close are some of my favorite – Point Lobos Ranch, and several alongside the Big Sur (see the full list here).
We must take the action and tell them that the parks need to stay open. Tell the Governor and your state legislators that you want them to keep our California parks open. Please take a minute to fill out a simple form on the Sierra Club website I just referenced, and tell others about it.

Just moved from CA back to UT, I worked in San Diego in health care and believe me a few changes in CA’s health care policy, among other things, would give the state a surplus in $$$.
I follow your blog and love your images, some amazing shots, makes me miss the beach….. Hope those parks are not closed.
Andrew –
I fully agree with you. There are so many ways to cut spending, and yet they’re going after the easiest ways which requires little or no imagination.
Loved your web-site. Cute baby and wonderful temple shots.
