As any artist, I wanted to create a collection of images that best represent my recent work, in other words, a portfolio. Since the year began I spent a considerable amount of time going back through all the photos I took since I began my journey in the world of photography two years ago. What I end up with were 16 images which I printed for myself that I now show to whoever I come in contact with that ask me about my work. But my audience spans beyond that, and I wanted to find a way to create a presentation that will be available online. After some research, I decided to stop on PDF format, and use Adobe InDesign CS3 to create a presentation.
Enough of rambling. To download the PDF, click on the image to the left and once downloaded, unzip it to view it in Adobe Reader.
As this is something I am still new at, I welcome any thoughts or comments you may have about this medium of presentation.
I also plan on spending the next 16 posts or so sharing thoughts and background on each image in the portfolio and why I chose it to be part of the portfolio.

Hey Ivan-
I enjoyed looking through your first portfolio you posted and I’m looking forward to the posts where you plan to explain some of your shots. Also, I’m glad you switched to wordpress. I’m an avid fan and you’ll love the freedom it gives you.

This is McWay Waterfall, located on the Big Sur coast.
Thank you Darci.
Hey Ivan, these are terrific photos. The last one, of the man sitting at the edge of the Grand Canyon, made my stomach drop. I’m into photography, too. I was just in a photo store this afternoon looking at their macro lenses. I dreamed this morning that I was using a macro lens. You’re a talented man. Keep it up.
Thank you Kevin. I saw some of your photos on Facebook and they’re great – you have a good eye. I typically don’t upload anything on Facebook because I don’t like how they resize and downsample quality and resolution of photos, and plus the terms of service aren’t too friendly. If you upload your photos anywhere else, let me know, would love to see them.
